What is Digital Power Link? (look the cable here)
Digital Power Link (DPL) is a network-based audio technology that allows speakers in a modern surround sound system to communicate digitally with each other.
This technology allows a television or soundbar and connected speakers to work together to create a high-quality and immersive surround sound experience.
DPL uses a fully digital audio signal and can operate both wirelessly and wired.


If a wired connection is chosen, high-quality network cables such as CAT7 patch cables can be used for stable and interference-free signal transmission.

However, we recommend our Cat8.1, especially for multimedia and 2000MHZ.

Questions: Can CAT7 be used with B&O speakers?
Yes, CAT7 cabling can be used with modern Bang & Olufsen systems that use network-based audio technology such as Digital Power Link.
This only applies to systems that support this digital network connection.


What is the difference between Powerlink and Digital Power Link?
Powerlink is an analog audio connection that connects speakers directly to B&O equipment.
Digital Power Link works via a network connection and transmits audio completely digitally, often used in newer B&O systems.


Which B&O systems are equipped with DPL?

Digital Power Link (DPL) works with modern Bang & Olufsen systems running on the Mozart Platform™.
This includes Beovision/Beosound Theatre, Beolab 28, Beolab 8, Beosound A9 (5th generation),
Beosound 2 (3rd generation), Beosound Balance, Beosound Level, Beosound A5, and Beosound Emerge.
