Connecting Beolab Speakers (Looping)

A number of Beolab speakers are equipped with two PowerLink connections, allowing the speakers to be daisy-chained.

Models with an 8-pin Din PowerLink connection:

Beolab 1
Beolab 5
Beolab 9
Beolab 3000
Beolab 4000
Beolab 4500
Beolab 5000
Beolab 6000

Models with an RJ45 PowerLink connection:

Beolab 18
Beolab 20

With these models, a second speaker can be connected directly to the first via the second PowerLink connection.
This is also known as daisy-chaining.
As a result, it is not always necessary to run a separate PowerLink cable from the source, such as a Bang & Olufsen audio system or television, for each speaker.
Unlike passive speakers, where the left and right speakers are connected to the amplifier separately, every Beolab speaker features a built-in amplifier.
As a result, each speaker can be positioned and configured independently as left or right while retaining the L/R switch.

Thanks to this design, two Beolab speakers can easily be connected from the source using a PowerLink cable, with the second speaker daisy-chained through the first.
In the example below, a WiiM Ultra is used as the source.
However, the principle is identical for other devices that feature a single PowerLink output, such as the Beocenter 2, Beosound Moment, and similar Bang & Olufsen systems.
The second Beolab speaker is simply daisy-chained through the first.

For neat and organized cabling, you can follow this sequence:
1. Connect the PowerLink cable from the source to PowerLink 1 of the first Beolab speaker.
2. Connect PowerLink 2 of the first speaker to PowerLink 1 of the second Beolab.
