Digital Powerlink (DPL)
For modern Bang & Olufsen setups where sound quality and stability are essential, we offer a Digital Powerlink cable based on CAT8.1 technology.
This cable is suitable for high-end speakers such as Beolab 50 and Beolab 90, ensuring a stable, interference-free digital audio connection.
With high-quality shielding and materials, it is ideal for surround and multiroom installations in modern B&O systems.
What is Digital Power Link (DPL)?
Digital Power Link is a Bang & Olufsen protocol that connects speakers digitally to a TV or soundbar on the Mozart Platform™, enabling high-quality surround sound.
What is Beolink Surround?
Beolink Surround allows Beolab and Beosound speakers to work together in one room, controlled by a Beovision TV or Beosound Theatre.
Supported products (DPL):
Beovision / Beosound Theatre
Beolab 28 – Beolab 8
Beosound A9 (5th gen), Beosound 2 (3rd gen)
Beosound Balance, Level, A5, Emerge
What is the Mozart Platform?
The Mozart Platform™ is B&O’s modern system for streaming and network audio, designed for long-term use and updates.
*When you connect speakers using DPL, the speakers become "dead" slaves of the Theatre/Premiere, and any old settings you had configured on the speakers are not used.
The speakers also disappear from the app's main menu, meaning you can no longer adjust a sound mode for the connected speakers anywhere.
With DPL, everything is controlled by the Theatre/Premiere, and any settings you may have applied to the speakers before connecting them via DPL (such as creating a sound mode with a specific presetID number or room compensation) no longer have any effect.
The speakers function as if they have been reset to factory settings.
