Important: Info Window & BeoLink Passive

MKII PowerLink cables are essential for a properly functioning info window and the on/off function of the BeoLink Passive.
These cables ensure that the information display on your BeoLab Penta functions correctly.

Please note regarding RJ45 connections:
In newer Bang & Olufsen products with an RJ45 connection, B&O has no longer built in the info window function.
This means:

The info screen no longer works with the Beo Connect Core, Connect Core, and TVs with an RJ45 connection.

A standard RJ45 → DIN8 cable does not switch off the BeoLink Passive.
Our modified cables ensure a properly functioning BeoLink Passive with an on/off function.

Handmade special cable with RJ45 to DIN8 female.

The speakers will not turn on or off via the Beolink Passive.

This cable fits into all B&O RJ45 Powerlink connections and features a DIN8 female connector into which existing DIN8 Powerlink plugs can simply be plugged.
This cable restores the on/off function of the Beolink Passive.

The cable is approximately 20 cm long, shielded, and an MKII cable (full-wired).

This concerns a special manually modified cable.
Connect the Beosound Core to the Beolink Passive, or from Core/Essence to Beolab Penta.

A standard RJ45 to Din8 cable has the disadvantage that it does NOT switch off the Beolink Passive.

This modified cable enables the Passive to function, both switching it on and off.
* Beosound Moment, Essence, Core & Connect Core & Beovisions no longer transmit information to Beolab via info windows after entering RJ45 connections.
If the Beolab Pentas/3000/4500 or 5000 are daisy-chained together, only one of these cables is needed on the connected audio/TV.
